Click a gauge and a card opens inward from the rail: the tightest window first, when it resets, then everything else. Click anywhere else, or press Escape, and it is gone.

It says what it knows. Nothing more.
Unknown is a dash, never zero. A reset that has passed never refills on its own. Pace, the forecast, stays quiet until fresh readings make a prediction worth showing. Pick a state to see it on the rail.

What QuotaRail reads, where your usage goes, and what it runs on.
What does QuotaRail show?
How much of your Codex and Claude subscription is left in the 5-hour and weekly windows, and when each one resets. It lives in a small rail on the edge of your Mac, or around the camera housing at the top of the screen, and a click opens the full detail.
Does it read my prompts or conversations?
No. QuotaRail only reads usage limits. It never reads prompts, transcripts or spending history.
How does it get my Codex and Claude usage?
Codex usage comes from the local service in the Codex app, which keeps its own sign-in; QuotaRail never reads Codex’s credential files. For Claude, QuotaRail uses the sign-in Claude Desktop or Claude Code already has, only after you choose to connect. It keeps that access in memory, never stores or renews it, and Claude stays in charge of your account.
Is anything sent to a QuotaRail server?
The Mac app has no QuotaRail quota backend, analytics, telemetry or account of its own. Usage goes from each provider straight to the app on your Mac. This website separately stores the email address you give the launch list and uses privacy-first Cloudflare Web Analytics for anonymous traffic and performance totals.
What is Pace?
A forecast worked out on your Mac from fresh readings. It shows where a window is heading by its reset and warns when it may run out first. Until there are enough fresh readings it says it is still learning, and it pauses whenever a reading is stale.
Which Macs does it run on?
Macs with Apple silicon running macOS 15 or later.

No. QuotaRail is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by OpenAI or Anthropic. Their names and marks only identify the services it reads.
